Without it, tickets for most Portuguese monuments are still reasonable at around 4 Euros with reductions for kids. LISBOA CARD is GOOD VALUE if you plan to do a lot. Very CROWDED in Summer so not good with young kids and beware pick-pockets. Equally picturesque and less busy RED TRAM from Praca Commercio has commentary in English. If you don't fancy 15 min coastal WALK take a short TAXI ride from Oeiras Station. Salty water makes for great swimming except for KIDS with sensitive skin. Endless high diving for kids while parents relax on LOUNGERS in sun or shade. Spend the whole day at the pool with 2 RESTAURANTS - one BUDGET & one more upmarket with SEA VIEWS.
